The George Washington International Law Review would like to congratulate the newly selected editorial board for Volume 53, 2020–2021!

Vol. 53 GWILR Editorial Board Masthead

This editorial board introduces two new positions focused on expanding the International Law Review‘s reach, both online and in print.

Finance & Marketing Editor

The Finance & Marketing Editor (FME) is responsible for the financial administration and the internal and external marketing of the work of the International Law Review. The FME’s primary long-term project is to increase the reach of the journal to students, scholars, and practitioners through an evolving media presence. The FME’s short-term projects include managing the journal’s finances and subscriber lists, branding and marketing strategies related to both publication and the journal’s annual symposium, and maintenance of the journal’s social media presence.

Online Editor

The Online Editor (OE) is responsible for developing and managing the International Law Review‘s online resources, including the online publication of both the George Washington International Law Review and The Guide to International Legal Research, as well as the journal’s online-only publication, the Corners of International Law. The OE’s primary long-term project is to lead the journal’s efforts to develop the International Law Review‘s online presence as valuable resources for students, scholars, and practitioners. The OE’s primary short-term projects include the management and updating of the journal’s official website.

Publication Process:

After selecting which Articles and Notes to publish, the Article Editors (AE) work with the authors to fine tune the above-the-line text. Thereafter, the ILR Members and Managing Editors (ME) collect the cited sources, substantiate the claims, and edit the footnote citations. The Executive Production Editor (EPE) then completes a final review before sending each Issue to our printer.
